Drinkaware is an alcohol education charity that aims to change the UK’s drinking habits for the better. It promotes responsible drinking and finds innovative ways to challenge the national drinking culture to help reduce alcohol misuse and minimise alcohol-related harm.
An independent, UK-wide charity, Drinkaware is supported by voluntary donations from across the drinks industry to equip people with the knowledge they need to make decisions about how much they drink.
Drinkaware works with drinks companies and retailers to help tackle alcohol misuse. The charity also works with organisations and individuals across the UK to fulfil the educational, community and awareness campaigning function envisaged in the Government's Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy.
The Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS) is the UK’s national proof of age accreditation scheme, endorsed by the Home Office, the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and the Trading Standards Institute (TSI).
